The Graduate Institute's research mission is to produce knowledge that fosters a better understanding of global problems. As a community of scholars in the academy, we are committed to advancing insight and debate in the social sciences and humanities. As a community of publicly engaged scholars, we also seek to enrich policy debates at the international and local level, in particular those involving international actors.
The Research Office facilitates these research activities by providing information for faculty and other researchers about project opportunities, furnishing resources for translating ideas into concrete research activities, and disseminating the research carried on by scholars here at the Institute. To that purpose, It notably produces the Research Bulletin, our newsletter on upcoming events (lectures, seminars, PhD defenses), recent publications and PhD theses (by theme), visiting research fellows, calls for papers and prizes, and awarded grants and prizes. The bulletin also links to written or multimedia (video and podcast) news pieces on PhD theses, publications and ongoing research.
